SD3025 : Shipping aid on the edge of the Ribble Estuary

taken 10 years ago, 4 km from St Annes, Lancashire, Great Britain

Shipping aid on the edge of the Ribble Estuary
Shipping aid on the edge of the Ribble Estuary
This was taken about two hours before the low tide (1.4m today). From the staining etc. on the wood it seems that mean high water at this point is just above where the supporting posts join the main upright - about 18 feet above the ground I'm standing on.
