According to the nearby information board the mill dates from about 1614, which is the date carved on a minor beam on the spout floor. The mill last worked in 1911 and was restored in 1982-3. It is a scheduled Ancient Monument and is accessible by visiting the village Post Office or looking at the Parish Notice Board and getting the name of the keyholder who will presumably show you round if he has the time and inclination.
