Beech trees
Beech trees
Further to the north on the main path through Hundred Acre Wood beech trees have replaced the conifers. Hundred Acre Wood is located in the parishes of Kelling and Weybourne. It is a broad-leaved semi-natural woodland where coppiced as well as standard trees can be found. It is also one of 250-odd sites in North Norfolk to have been identified in a field-by-field survey undertaken by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust as an area of County importance for wildlife outside SSSIs.
