Viewed across the stubble of the "Barn Walk" field, this farmhouse nestles in a hollow little higher than the marshes and - before the days of central heating - it was notoriously damp. Like Upper Abbey Farm TM4564 : "I remember, I remember, the house where I was born", the house is a combination of a Tudor rear section and a Georgian southern façade: the "sandwich" is only visible here from the side. The white dome in the background belongs to Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station.
