TQ0210 : South Stoke Bridge

taken 10 years ago, near to South Stoke, West Sussex, Great Britain

South Stoke Bridge
South Stoke Bridge
Recently reopened after the previous one was declared unsafe. The original course of the river actually followed the eastern side of the valley and this part of the river was cut in 1840 but blocked access to the pastures for the farm at South Stoke and consequently a bridge was built much like at Offham downstream.
