SX6741 : Thurlestone Sand Wave and river stream Erosion and incision beach cusp Sadly my photographs of Thurlestone are no more and the 1979 beach backwash and stream cut of the marsh and that was a Sunday also where the winds were offshore and a heavy 8 foot swell blown back off my daughter stone skipping that photographic was never taken but showed the down cut and narrow outlet flooded marsh and mass land source flow aided by occasional wave fill backwater into the lake and out of the lake. The beach cusp hollow taking the wave was enormous and well reduced. So I may try to draw again that scene but the pictures recent indicate that most of the sand dune and access have been removed, the beach and outlet stream on the beach are gigantic compared to 1979 April and it may be the same applies to North Wales and Severn. These are not the same configurations and as Grant GE points out the scenery and the river hydraulics are controlled by the gravel sand berms and pools and the dynamics of those are controlled by the hydraulics, Oregon. River regimes coastal use and wave sequences in tectonic sectors and eroded geologic hard rock base which Thurlestone is produce entirely different flow plane reactions today as they did just 50 years or 40 years ago.
