Raspberry canes in winter
Raspberry canes in winter
The canes are tied up to a wire to stop them getting damaged in winter gales and to make picking far easier.
These natural season canes fruit on previous year's wood around July and are then removed. New wood that grows up later in the summer is then tied to the wire for the next year's crop.
