Botesdale Market Square and Christmas Tree
Botesdale Market Square and Christmas Tree
A local builder presented this 20 ft Christmas tree to the village to decorate the Market Square during the festive period. The tree base is installed in a chamber encased in 2.5 tons of concrete, to ensure that the tree will withstand buffeting from the elements. The tree is lit with 1,000 low voltage bulbs. The project has been supported by both Botesdale & Rickinghall Parish Councils and Suffolk County Council which each contributed towards the cost of the infrastructure which can be used in future years.
