Esholt Swing Bridge No 211B, Leeds and Liverpool Canal
Esholt Swing Bridge No 211B, Leeds and Liverpool Canal
This canal is also known for its large number of swing bridges, especially on the Yorkshire section. Some of these were very heavy to work, needing two able-bodied crew members to get them moving. Some have now been replaced by fixed bridges, but the small Esholt swing bridge was moved easily by one man.
