Plaque on Waterlow grave, Reigate cemetery
Plaque to Walter Blanford Waterlow on the Waterlow grave (see TQ2650 : Waterlow grave, Reigate cemetery). Walter Blanford Waterlow was the 4th Mayor of Reigate, from 1870 to 1872. He built the mansion on the High Trees ridge in the south of Reigate which now houses Dunottar School, an independent girls' school, and in whose original estate now stand two roads named after him, Blanford Road and Waterlow Road. See TQ2650 : Plaque on Waterlow grave, Reigate cemetery for the plaque on the other side, in remembrance of his wife, who predeceased him by over 20 years.
