Again, the old wooden lock gates have been removed and replaced with a concrete to maintain the River Lagan at high level. Beyond Lock No.11 the River Lagan which flows to the right of the bridge through the grounds of Hilden Mill. This is the beginning of the Lagan Canal proper between Scott's Lock, Hilden and Molly Ward's, Stranmillis.
