Beach Defences, Worthing, West Sussex
Beach Defences, Worthing, West Sussex
Longshore drift from west to east affects the south coast in this part of Sussex. Wooden groynes have been deployed for over 150 years, and more recently, revetments of huge boulders of granite (and more recently limestone)have been added, as well as regular bulldozing to move sand and shingle around.

Worthing Pier is about 1.2 km distant.
