Drawback with pitched paths
Drawback with pitched paths
Stone pitching is popular with path builders, but not so with some walkers. As a result folk walk beside them. It's common to see an unused bit of path next to a new scar.
At times, pitched paths get very icy, then you must take to the heather. Fortunately the Schiehallion path has only a few pitched sections.
