Relic of the past
Relic of the past
Isle of Grain was the site of a huge BP oil refinery which opened in 1952 and was demolished in 1982. Now, the Thames Gateway project is leading to assorted industrial redevelopment of the site.
These sections of railway track are almost certainly "leftovers" from the days of the refinery.
