NX9195 : The glen, leading away from Crichope Linn

taken 10 years ago, near to Gatelawbridge, Dumfries And Galloway, Great Britain

The glen, leading away from Crichope Linn.
The glen, leading away from Crichope Linn.
This small river flows away from Crichope Linn, flowing east-west in a steep glen 2 kilometres north-east of the village of Cample. Peter Irvine’s book, “Scotland the Best”, lists this area amongst Scotland’s top ten of “Really Spooky Places”. Just around the corner are the high waterfall, Crichope Linn, and some deep and scary, rock pools.
