Hay's Galleria is now a shopping centre; it used to be Hay's Wharf which was commissioned by Sir William Cubitt in the 1850s. Tea clippers used to dock here, by the end of the 19th century 80% of perishable foodstuffs passes though the dock and it was known as the 'Larder of London'.
