SN0330 : Morfil/Morvil church, south elevation

taken 10 years ago, near to Castlebythe, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

Morfil/Morvil church, south elevation
Morfil/Morvil church, south elevation
Standing between a farmyard and a single track road the church, which was dedicated to St John the Baptist, must once have been visible for miles but the old yew trees have grown tall and straggling and the churchyard is choked with briars. Population decline would have decimated the congregation during the first half of the C20 as fewer and fewer people could make a living from the land.
