SE1861 : Monk Ing Road

taken 10 years ago, near to Dacre, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Monk Ing Road
Monk Ing Road
An intriguing name, with the road [actually a lane, only part surfaced] passing by Monk Ings and Monk Crag. The route seems to head north eastwards towards Fountains Abbey, whilst to the south west it heads towards an ancient packhorse bridge at SE174593.
