SD5186 : Redundant Canal Bridge

taken 13 years ago, near to Sedgwick, Cumbria, Great Britain

Redundant Canal Bridge
Redundant Canal Bridge
This is on the long closed portion of the Lancaster Canal, near Kendal. It is impossible to imagine that this sloping field once carried a state of the art [for a while!] canal, except for the bridge which was surprisingly left intact when the canal was filled in.
