St Mary's Church at Chapel Lawn
St Mary's Church at Chapel Lawn
A fine building complete with bell and unusual polygonal apse. Designed by Edward Haycock in the lancet style and erected in 1844. Originally a Chapel of Ease of Clun parish, without an adjoining vicarage or resident priest, but built to save parishioners the long walk to Clun - about five miles each way. Imagine doing that these days!
