NG9606 : Allt Coire Sgoireadail

taken 10 years ago, near to Kinloch Hourn, Highland, Great Britain

Allt Coire Sgoireadail
Allt Coire Sgoireadail
The Allt Coire Sgoireadail cuts deeply as it descends the lip of a hanging valley. Once there was a big glacier carving out Loch Hourn, when it melted it left the bed of a smaller glacier suspended high above the floor of a deep glen. Now the burn descends steeply over waterfalls after a long gentle stretch.
The path on the left runs to Kinloch Hourn, the path over the burn to Coireshubh.
