SE2933 : Leeds tram, Neville Street

Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, Great Britain

Leeds tram, Neville Street.
Leeds tram, Neville Street.
This is one of a small fleet of advanced bogie double-deckers built in 1933-5. Seventeen 'Middleton Bogie' trams were designed for the Middleton Light Railway, a new line built in 1925 to serve a large new satellite housing scheme south of Leeds.
The tram has just emerged from the railway bridge holding the station, and a Ford Zephyr Zodiac two-tone 6 cylinder car is parked at the roadside.
