Cricket Ground, Greetland
Advantage has been taken of a flat area of ground enclosed by a meander of Black Brook. The clock is rather classy. Victoria Mills in the background were built in 1895 to a fireproof design, ie with iron columns and girders instead of wooden beams. Previous mills on the site were burnt down in 1866 and 1893. The present building was a cotton-spinning mill but now houses Andy Thornton's Architectural Antiques.
