Horden railway station (site), County Durham
Opened in 1905 by the North Eastern Railway on the line from Stockton to Sunderland, this station closed to passengers in 1964 and completely in 1965. It was subsequently demolished.
View south east towards Blackhall Colliery and Stockton. The two parallel platforms were located in the middle distance. No trace apparently remains. In 2020, a new Horden station was opened some 300m to the north, behind the camera position. See NZ4441 : Horden railway station, County Durham.
