Which one is the footpath?
Guessed yet? Well it's the line of water running left to right, the actual overflowed gully is in the foreground. This part of Birchden Wood is at the foot of the slope and the small gully, probably empty during summer months, is struggling to cope with the run off which is making its way to the fields between the wood and the railway and would probably have continued beyond to feed the stream but has been blocked by the railway embankment.
