SN8575 : The source of the Afon Ystwyth

taken 11 years ago, near to Gors Lwyd [water Feature], Ceredigion, Great Britain

The source of the Afon Ystwyth
The source of the Afon Ystwyth
Those following the Ystwyth to its source may be surprised that, although through nearly all its length it follows a sharply defined valley, it rises in a featureless bog, the Gors-lwyd seen on the left of the picture. Through this also flows the infant Afon Elan, a river of totally different character, which flows in the other direction.
