Gregg's Pitt
A marl pit (marl being a limy clay once used as a fertilizer) now a pond on Awnells farm land which, have never used herbicides or pesticides, is the ideal habitat for the Great Crested Newt. The nearby smallholding and cider maker has taken on this name.
