Court Lodge, Groombridge Road
Just outside the village is this curiosity. Built in 1912 by the artist Lawson Wood with the help of an architect and historian the building incorporates the remains of a 13th house moved from Udimore near Rye to this location. The rebuilt manor is straight ahead whilst the newer part is out of picture to the right.
