SN2231 : St Brynach's church

taken 10 years ago, near to Llanfyrnach, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

St Brynach's church
St Brynach's church
One of the several local churches dedicated to the C6 Irish saint. The original C12 church was rebuilt in 1842 to a rather heavy Tudor-Gothic design in the dark local stone. It stands in what was probably the bailey of a mediaeval castle, the motte still visible close by.
