The Pentice, High St, Winchester
The Pentice is a row of old buildings, mainly 16th C in the High Street. They have been much altered over the years. At the far end is the Butter Cross which can be seen in another photo for this square. Some of these buildings contain remains of William the Conqueror's Royal Palace.
