NX3640 : Seagulls, Front Bay

taken 10 years ago, near to Monreith, Dumfries And Galloway, Great Britain

Seagulls, Front Bay
Seagulls, Front Bay
The rocky point is at the foot of Craigengour (creag an gabhair - the goats crag) and separates Front Bay from Monreith Bay. The gulls were feeding in the heavy surf, and every time a breaker rolled in they rose up in a Mexican wave, settling back on the water after it passed to feed for another few seconds until the next one arrived.
