SN7866 : Cairn at the top of Nant Egnant

taken 10 years ago, near to Bryn Eithinog [hill or Mountain], Ceredigion, Great Britain

Cairn at the top of Nant Egnant
Cairn at the top of Nant Egnant
The dam of Llyn Egnant (SN7966 : Overspill of Llyn Egnant) is carefully tucked away in the valley and can only be seen when almost at its foot. This cairn (SN7866 : Cairn on the monks' road) helps walkers coming up Cwm Egnant to locate the head of the valley. Looking downstream, the view follows the Egnant (SN7865 : Nant Egnant), Mwyro (SN7665 : Afon Mwyro) and (lower) Teifi (SN7465 : Afon Teifi in full flow) valleys.
