TQ2995 : Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris)

taken 10 years ago, near to Southgate, Enfield, Great Britain

Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris)
Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris)
Although the Greenfinch uses the bird feeders, it is more than happy to feed on seeds which have fallen to the ground. The bright olive green plumage marks this bird as a male Greenfinch rather than a female which has duller plumage.
