Cross Farmhouse and the windmill, Quainton
Cross Farmhouse and the windmill, Quainton
The farmhouse is dated 1723 and is grade II* listed. The windmill was built in 1830 and abandoned in 1896. It is the tallest in Buckinghamshire. Its restoration was completed in 2003. To the right are the remains of the 15th century Market Cross. This scheduled ancient monument was almost certainly a preaching cross used by friars (according to a nearby information board).
