Geal Charn and Creagan Mr are the northern most tops of the Druim Uachdair, the ridge that gave its name to the Drumochter Pass. The road and railway through the pass are nearby but invisible. Almost all this square is easy angled moorland. Soon the moorland steepens as the land rises to Carn na Caim.
