Mawddach Estuary
Mawddach Estuary
View from Barmouth bridge (SH6215 : Barmouth railway and footbridge) inland. The deepest part of the Afon Mawddach meanders within the wider tidal estuary. The mountains in the background are the foothills of Cadair Idris (SH7113 : The upper part of Fox's Path up to Penygadair), with the main ridge running almost parallel with the view. The large cliff on the right is Tyrrau Mawr (SH6215 : Mawddach Estuary) at the western end of the ridge, Cadair Idris itself is almost hidden behind it, slightly to its left.
