SW7752 : Perranzabuloe Church
near to Perranzabuloe, Cornwall, Great Britain

Perranzabuloe Church
There is very little in the hamlet of Perranzabuloe except a church, a farm and a pub. Of the three the church is the most important, being the Church of St Piran, the national saint of Cornwall. St Piran's Church was originally located on Perran Sands but by the 17th century the shifting sands were proving to be too much of a hazard and a new church was built on this site using some of the fabric of the old church. Perranzabuloe is not just the name of this hamlet it is also the name of the Parish of the surrounding area of which Perranporth is the largest settlement.
