SN1645 : Water duct - St Dogmael's abbey

taken 17 years ago, near to St Dogmaels, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Wales

Water duct - St Dogmael's abbey
Water duct - St Dogmael's abbey
The monks have channelled a stream to flow underground through the abbey. Here, at the top of the complex, this would have been fresh water supply, but further downstream, it is likely that the stream would have been used as a drain. Pictured to the left of the duct is the official tour guide (SN1645 : St Dogmael's tour guide).
