SJ2205 : River Severn in flood
Welshpool/Y Trallwng, Powys, Great Britain

River Severn in flood
Looking at the map, the Severn does not flow through the northern part of this square. A tell-tail ox-bow lake is shown due east of the photographer position and it is easy to see how, when heavy winter rains can cause this sort of widespread coverage of the flood plain, the main course of the river can change almost overnight.
A drainage ditch, which is impossible to see amid the flooding to the west of the main road Link
, goes under both road and railway just here. The Breidden hills are in the distance.
