Cliffs on the Gorlech headland
Cliffs on the Gorlech headland
At this point the stoney beach, backed by boulder clay cliffs, which borders the bay southwards from Trwyn-y-tal come to a sudden end. The cliffs of the Gorlech, composed of igneous rocks plunge vertically into deep water. The cliffs provide a safe nesting place for sea-birds.
