The stoney West End foreshore
The stoney West End foreshore
The cliffs behind the beach are formed of boulder clay. The retreat of these cliffs has led to the formation of a beach consisting of stones and boulders. The finer materials in the cliffs have been carried away by the waves and deposited elsewhere.
