Detail of Wind Turbine on Deucheran Hill
Deucheran Hill was EONs' first venture north of the border into Scotland. The wind farm took seven months to construct and was commissioned in December 2001. At the time of construction, its nine 1.75MW turbines were the most powerful in the UK. Each of them can produce enough electricity to boil 875 kettles simultaneously.
