NH8122 : Coire a' Chapuill

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Slochd, Highland, Great Britain

Coire a' Chapuill
Coire a' Chapuill
Patterns in the heather shown up by a light snow cover. Different shades for different year's burning.
The true nature of the Monadhliath is apparent here. The hills seem tame when crossed by the railway or A9, but here the road seems a long way off. It actually runs between the hill with the patterns (Carn na Squabaich) and the hill in the background, crossing the range at the Slochd, 405m.
