St. Mary's and Paulsgrove Lake, Portchester
St. Mary's and Paulsgrove Lake, Portchester
A Norman church viewed from a Norman castle on the site of a Saxon 'Shore Fort' enclosed in Roman walls. This site has certainly been shaped by History. Beyond the walls that part of Portsmouth Harbour known as Paulsgrove Lake separates Portchester from the city of Portsmouth on the far shore.
