The swollen River Ure
The swollen River Ure
Looking upstream from the bridge at Boroughbridge towards the weir, which has entirely disappeared due to the huge amount of water coming down from Wensleydale following torrential rain on January 21st 2008. The weir should be about 150m upstream, before the line of red markers that indicate the way into the canal for boats.
