NM9486 : Vandalised cairn

taken 15 years ago, near to Streap [hill or Mountain], Highland, Great Britain

Vandalised cairn
Vandalised cairn
The mortal remains of the summit cairn of Streap. There had been a thunderstorm a few days earlier and the hill must have been zapped.
The stones of the cairn had been scattered and there was a deep trench, probably excavated by ground water turning rapidly to steam.
