Tiverton: Belmont Hospital
A Victorian workhouse in Belmont Road closed for redevelopment: plans exist for 77 homes on the 3.31 acre site. Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and William Moffat, it opened in 1837. After the Second World War it was utilised as a hospital, providing specialist care for the elderly.
