Proposals, by Sustrans, over recent years have been for the 'redevelopment' of the Plymouth to Yealmpton/Modbury railway line as a cycle path, in order to link up with the National Network; unfortunately only sections have so far been redeveloped - this section, having commenced at Elburton, terminating shortly after crossing a newly re-constructed bridge at Chittleburn, close to Brixton.
