NH7070 : Johnstone's Ditch

Johnstone's Ditch
Johnstone's Ditch
The embankment on the right is the slope leading up to the Cromarty Firth Industrial Estate, site of the former aluminium smelter. Comparison of the 1958 one-inch map with the modern 1:50,000 shows that the smelter site must have been built up across this ditch, which was then diverted round the north of the smelter.
