St Mary's Hospital
St Mary's Hospital
A medieval hospital that is still being lived in today. Built between 1290-1300 on the site of a former friary it was converted into living quarters sometime after the reformation and the chimneys were added in 1680. Still owned by Chichester Cathedral it provides residential accommodation for the elderly and has retained many of its original features. Just a shame that to get a decent picture you need to stand in the middle of a car park.
